Going All The Way

Fired Up Theatre are to expand on their performance piece, 'Going All The Way' which made its debut at Walton Hall School, Eccleshall recently. Commissioned by the school to devise workshops and a performance on issues of teenage promiscuity, respect for personal space and general points from the school's SEL programme, the piece proved to be a success with students and teaching staff alike. If you would like more information on this project and how your school can become part of the programme, then contact us via e-mail Fireduptheatre@aol.com

Ryan's Slaughter

The successful work, Ryan's Slaughter, which developed a community partnership between Fired Up and ABCD Neighborhood wardens in Wolverhampton has been recommissioned. The play looks at relationships between young people and their 'elders' with dramatic and disturbing revelations. Designed to strengthen intergenerational cohesion, the performance will involve Year 6 St. Lukes and Graisley Primary Schools, to take place at:

Newhampton Arts Centre - Friday, 3rd July

More dertails regarding tickets and times of performance can be obtained soon by visiting the Newhampton Arts Centre website.

Seeing Red & Cirque de Folie

Seeing Red and Cirque de Folie are two projects which bring together Fired Up Theatre and students from President Kennedy School, Coventry. PKTV is the school's own state of the art television studio and under the leadership of Alex Randell-Bissell. Fired Up have been brought in to help the PK team devise their own manic fly-on-the-wall series which gives pupils the opportunity to spend a little time as somewhat eccentric characters living on the planet Mars!! Don't ask just keep watching this space!!

Cirque de Folie is a unique and vibrant musical looking at another collection of weird and wonderful characters, this time associated with those lifestyles of people living and working under the Big Top. Auditions are near completion, and choreographer Holly Evans is busily devising an eclectic set of routines for the members of the cast.

New-Town

New-Town is another piece looking at the issues surrounding diversity. Working alongside Fair Oak and Hagley Park Schools in Rugeley, the work is using themes put forward by the performing arts students from both schools, interwoven with the template script from White Girls Can't Dance, Black Guys Can't Swim.

The performance is to take place at Rugeley Rose Theatre at the end of March.
